Learning how to be safe in and around water is a skill that lasts a lifetime. At the IU Outdoor Pool, we take pride in the role we play in teaching hundreds of youth how to swim every summer. Regardless of the skill level of your child, signing up for one or more of our two-week lessons is the perfect summer activity to improve and have fun. Registration opens Monday, May 4 at 8 a.m.
Youth Group Swim and Swim Team Prep consists of four 45-minute lessons per week, Monday–Thursday. Swim Team Prep is for those who have successfully completed Youth Level 4, and is a precursor to a formal swim team. Parent/Toddler group swim consists of four 30-minute lesson per week, Monday–Thursday.
Lessons canceled due to weather will be made up on Fridays. If more than two sessions are canceled due to weather, makeup and refunds are not possible. The Outdoor Pool lesson program is organized into level based on your current proficiency. We will spend the first 15 minutes of your first session conducting a skills assessment.
*There will not be a 9:15 a.m. session for Swim Team Prep this summer.
